These last letters give us not only an insight into the people caught up in the storm of the Terror, but a snapshot of way life was lived in France, and in Western Europe, in the last decades of the 18th century.  I read this one and found it very interesting to hear from these unfortunate people and their concerns.  Some very stoic and resigned to their demise and mostly interested in settling their affairs. A sad but enligtening read.
