This is probably the best book you can get on pure strategy and tactics dealing with the Napoleonic War against Austria in 1809. The author covers not only the fighting on the main front that Napoleon took part in, but the Italian front involving Prince Eugene and Marshal Marmont. He provides plenty of maps, many of which are highly detailed, describes both armies, their goals, and what happened. His thesis is interesting as well in that Napoleon's skills did not decline after this period, but that armies became too large for him to handle by himself. Also his enemies divided themselves into French style corps which prevented the French from completely destroying the enemies such as at Austerlitz. Overall a great book on strategy and tactics.
